Support of the MPIPZ International Max Planck Research School granted for another 6 years
An application to support the International Max Planck Research School (IMPRS) at MPIPZ for the period 2014-2019 was recently funded by the Max Planck Society. During this period the IMPRS will be a collaboration between the MPIPZ, the University of Cologne and the Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf. The research programme will focus on understanding the molecular mechanisms that confer phenotypic differences between closely related species. To reflect this change in emphasis the title of the IMPRS becomes “Understanding complex plant traits using computational and evolutionary approaches”. The IMPRS is managed by George Coupland, the chairman of the IMPRS, and Olof Persson, the student co-ordinator. We expect to accept up to 14 graduate students per year and further detailed information on the school including how to apply is available on the IMPRS pages of the MPIPZ web site.
